Check all old extension leads to ensure that they have an earth cable! If you find any 2 core extension leads (as in the picture) that do not have an earth wire, it is advisable to change them.
If a fault occurs e.g.the live wire becomes loose within the appliance then it may result in you receiving an electric shock. The reason being is that there no earth wire to protect the Users by carrying the voltage away!
